Uploading Videos 101

Here's a quick look at the process of uploading videos:

1a) Click the "Upload Videos" link located in your welcome toolbar or at the bottom left of the "My Videos" page. Shown below:

1b) Input your basic information regarding the video. Using the tags section is critical to the success of your video being searched for and found on VideoPros. Use it for greater success! Shown below:

1c) The location Information and Additional Information tabs offer greater control over search ability functions. While these are not necessary, it does offer greater opportunities to pinpoint exact information about your video.

2) The second step is to get your video from your computer to the VideoPros server. There are two options to choose from.

a) Uploading directly for files under 50 MB. (seen below)

b) Uploading via an FTP program. In this example (below) the VideoPros server is already showing a list of files which I've previously uploaded. So scroll through the list and find your file. What you are in essence doing is associating Metadata from steps 1a-1c and linking them to your video file.

3) You'll now see a new entry under the "My Videos" section. Please note the "Status" column, as this will give you a report on the process of this video.

4) Once the status is "Ready", you'll be ready as well to begin creating or modifying a project in the "My Projects" tab of your "Manage Vidego Players" link.
